Position Summary
The Bureau of Fleet and Facilities is recruiting professionals who are interested in a Maintenance Planner & Scheduler II position. This position works in the Bureau's Operations and Maintenance Group to support programs through asset management practices including asset creation, maintenance management strategy, and optimization.
The Maintenance Planner & Scheduler II is responsible for the efficient execution of maintenance, installation, and repair work processes to ensure that facilities assets are properly accounted for and maintained. The position plans and schedules work processes and materials, primarily using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for City-owned buildings and facilities to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity in work. The position develops efficient work control plans for various trades, including Facility Maintenance Technicians, Facility Maintenance Specialists, Facility Workers, Control Technicians, contractors, or other trade resources. The position is responsible for monitoring the effectiveness of the preventative maintenance program and adjusting plans to ensure best management practices are followed.
The Maintenance Planner & Scheduler II will work within the Facility Operations and Maintenance group which manages City-owned assets utilized by the City's primary bureaus, inventory management, and technical/administrative support teams. Position Summary
The Bureau of Fleet and Facilities is recruiting professionals who are interested in a Maintenance Planner & Scheduler II position. This position works in the Bureau's Operations and Maintenance Group to support programs through asset management practices including asset creation, maintenance management strategy, and optimization.
The Maintenance Planner & Scheduler II is responsible for the efficient execution of maintenance, installation, and repair work processes to ensure that facilities assets are properly accounted for and maintained. • Developing and implementing short- and long-term strategies and goals for all facilities and business operations functions within CoE. • Develop and implement objective, transparent, and efficient processes while working as the lead point between the college of engineering community and division of finance and administration staff. • Establishes and maintains relationships with internal and external stakeholders to identify potential services or processes that may enhance and support facilities and operational functions. • Ensure compliance with university policy, and state and federal regulations and industry standards. • The Director works closely with the Dean and Senior Associate Dean to advise on efficiency and improvement of facilities and business operations. • Collaborates with the Dean, Senior Associate Dean, and College Financial Planning Manager to develop and implement a comprehensive facilities management and planning strategy aligned with the college’s mission, vision, and long-term goals. • Oversees and manages facilities and their operational functions for the College of Engineering while leading a team to effectively support the College’s strategic goals as they relate to infrastructure, safety, spaces, and their safety. • Provides guidance and supervision of assigned student staff: hire and train, plan, approve and assign work; discipline and/or reward; prepare and sign performance appraisals and reviews; develop performance goals and assess performance through written evaluations; coaching and focusing as needed to obtain desired level of performance; discipline or effectively recommend discipline up to and including dismissal; respond to grievances; establishing and ensuring adherence to safety procedures; fostering an ethic for quality customer service; and encourage continuous procedural improvement.

The Administrative Assistant II is the full journey-level class in the Administrative Assistant series. Incumbents at this level are responsible for performing the full range of clerical, administrative, operational, and financial program support duties assigned to the series. Incumbents are expected to work independently and exercise judgment and initiative. The Administrative Assistant II is the full journey-level class in the Administrative Assistant series. Incumbents at this level are responsible for performing the full range of clerical, administrative, operational, and financial program support duties assigned to the series.
