The City of Tucson is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to be the next Human Resources Director. Our ideal HR Director is a master of adaptability, thriving in a fast-paced environment where flexibility and resilience are key. With exceptional communication skills, this individual will excel in delivering clear, transparent messages and handling difficult conversations with empathy. As a leader, they will inspire and guide the HR team, building trust and strong relationships across all levels of the organization.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with an emphasis in Human Resources, or a related field; and
• Seven (7) years of increasingly responsible human resource management experience that includes supervision of staff; or
• An equivalent combination of formal education, training and work experience that produces the knowledge, skill, and ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
