Collaborates with Supervisor of Elections and Deputy Supervisor of Elections to create strategic plans, develop and manage budget, solve problems, and achieve established goals of the Supervisor of Elections Office. Develops, recommends and implements improved operating procedures, forms and work processes; assists with the development and administration of the election budget. Works as office liaison with municipalities providing assistance and support to city clerks in conducting municipal elections. Develops, maintains, and updates the offices’ Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) in collaboration with office staff. Assists Supervisor of Elections in interpreting and implementing changes made by local, state, and federal legislative action concerning the election process; Research and studies all current election and voter registration laws and ensures compliance. Manages the candidate qualifying process, including reviewing required forms, verifying eligibility, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements. Serves as the primary point of contact for candidates, providing guidance on filing deadlines, campaign finance reporting, and election requirements; audits campaign finance reports. Manages the candidate’s petition process for candidates. Oversees the campaign and financial disclosure required by law. In this role, provide counsel to Deans and unit leaders regarding all aspects of philanthropic engagement in their units, set short- and long-term fundraising priorities, and plan annual solicitations and alumni/donor connections. Work on complex gift scenarios and identify opportunities to engage campus partners to help present and secure transformational gifts. • Work with AVP for Development and colleagues in Gift Planning, Annual Giving, Prospect Management and Research, Donor Relations and Stewardship, Alumni Engagement and Advancement Services to achieve the stated goals and objectives of University Advancement, and to facilitate positive outcomes for constituents, as needed. • Coordinate prospect strategies and share call information with other fundraisers and university leadership through personal communication and electronic contact reports. • Actively participate in University Advancement's activities including, but not limited to, strategic planning sessions, prospect management meetings, campaign planning, and team collaboration meetings. • Travel to cultivate and solicit prospective donors and attend events. Experience with Mailchimp or similar e-marketing platform. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS Work hours: this position works in the downtown Portland PBO office, which is open 9:30am-5pm Monday through Friday. Work environment: office, concert venues, locations outside of the office for appointments with donors, prospects, board members, community leaders, and other community events/meetings. Potential for remote work once a week based on schedule and workload. Must be comfortable working in an environment in which directions and priorities can change rapidly. Physical requirements: prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time. Ability to lift and carry boxes/other items and set up tables, easels, and banner stands. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS Salary for this full-time, exempt role is $70-$78,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
