The integration of the practical knowledge of theater-making with the humanistic knowledge of the history and theory of performance is central to our department's vision. At TAPS, theory and practice are inextricably linked and mutually reinforcing. We prepare our students to become scholar-artists fluent in both of these languages.
Position Summary: The Department of Theater and Performance Studies is seeking a Production Manager. The Production Manager will work under the general supervision of the Director of Finance and Operations. The Production Manager will collaborate with faculty, lecturers, visiting artists, students, and staff to produce six full productions per academic year and a number of other events in three buildings. Additionally, the Production Manager will liaise with the larger Stanford community in regards to the use of TAPS spaces and facilities. Core tasks include financial management, HR, scheduling, information management, and other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate must possess and demonstrate a positive outlook on continuous process improvement efforts while maintaining a team-based and customer-focused mindset. It is critical that the person in this position exhibit sound judgment and decision-making, effective written and oral communication, strong attention to detail, and respectful relationship management. They must also exhibit a strong desire to learn new and unfamiliar business topics, policies, and procedures as they relate to Production Management – the ability to translate this information into operational successes will be critical.
This is a 100% FTE, continuing and exempt position. This position will be based on the Stanford campus and will be considered for an option of telecommuting (hybrid of working on-site and off-site), subject to operational need.

The expected pay range for this position is $74,000 to $117,000 per annum.
